Lets dip into the past and visit the 90′s. Always liked this one. A Girl Like You was released in 1994 by Scottish artist Edwyn Collins and had great success in both the USA and the UK, reaching #4 on Billboard. The song (and artists) are classic one hit wonder material, meaning, an extremely talented musician with many good albums to his credit, caught he world’s imagination only once. Check out his other material.

Wow – haven’t heard that in years!
Heard it on CBC2 on the way to work this morning and went, Wow, just like you did. Hadn’t heard it in years. Love the guitar work. Had to post it.
Hi,
It didn’t realize this song was so old, I love it.
Same here. I’d forgotten about until this morning
I’ve never heard this song before. It’s weird all of the Canadian songs that don’t make it to the states. Or maybe it did and I’m just weird. My husband and I talk about certain artists and their songs that were popular and he’ll always mention one or two that I’ve never heard of and we just figure that they were big in Canada but not in the states. Weird :/
Just kidding. He’s from Scotland?
The first comment is still true. Music is a cottage industry in most countries. The best part, musically, about not living in the US is that you get to hear different stuff. American radio and tv is dominated by Americans You dont have to be as good as Adele to make it here.
Okay fine, Canada is great.
It is different for sure.eh!
