Today’s photo has nothing to do with our photo library and everything to do with just being content. Looking up is the thing tonight as we sit on our deck enjoying the cool of the evening. July is almost over, and before you know it the leaves will be changing and we will then move onto the next season, the next year, the next thing, whatever that may be. Sometimes we just need to look up!

Interesting article about China’s scientific community. They are planning to pull an asteroid into earth orbit, mine it, research it, then send it on its way. I am thinking, what an excellent idea, there is probably no chance that this plan could screw up at all.
In related news, a major satellite the size of a school bus is due to reenter the atmosphere on the 23rd or 24th. I remember the fear that Skylab wrought when it fell many years ago. I can still hear the shrieks of “The skylab is falling, the skylab is falling”.

Did you see this. The sun burped (farted?) out a phenomenal solar flare on Tuesday. Absolutely amazing video from a NASA Observatory in space.
