Bruins vs Canucks – Game 2 Preview

After game 1, I am very pleased to announce that the Boston Bruins will easily win this series in 6 games. I base this on several factors.

First, a 1-0 loss, against a hot goalie, on the road, with 20 seconds left in front of a rabid crowd, is pretty much a win. With an early couple of goals in game 2, the bruins should overwhelm an obviously inferior opponent. The refs were (albeit for both teams) awful in game 1, and allowed far too much crap to go on. So bad in fact, that if there is a blow out, I fully expect Hamhuis to be destroyed for his blatant attempt to injure Lucic with a low hip check to the knees and also Burrows for his stupid move against Bergeron.

Secondly, the Bruins completely outplayed the Canucks in game 1 who should have been blown out other than some poor shooting by the Bruins and some great goaltending by Luongo. I do not expect either to continue.

Third, the Bruins play hockey, the Canucks, I am not sure. There are a few hockey players but most seem to be more like ringette players. I heard a rumour that the Fine Young Cannibals are playing the national anthems tonight.

The other rumour i heard is that the NHL has changed their Director of Referees and replaced him with Vince McMahon. The WWE has acknowledged expertise in the area of discipline based on the referee not seeing an incident, even though everyone in the building sees it, not to mention the worldwide TV audience and replays ad nauseam on every major sports network or sportscast.

It will be a great game. We have some friends from Australia over for supper this evening and will be fun converting them to bruin fans. They were just in Vancouver and think they are Canuck fans, or will until I teach them the correctness in cheering for Canada’s team, the Boston Bruins.
