An interesting piece on the discovery of an ancient palace in Sudan at the site of a current dig at Meroe. It is dated to 900 BC. Sudan is not high on my list of vacation spots, nor will it ever be, but if they keep finding stuff like this, it may be at some point a must see. It amazes me that we are still finding places and things like this in our day.
