Canada’s Best Music – 5 Songs At A Time – Part 1

As people may have noticed, I am an unabashed supporter of Canada and Canada’s music scene.  I have begun this series to highlight Canadian music history and will do this 5 songs at a time.  I hope you enjoy the music and find some new favourites and rediscover some old ones.  I encourage you to click on the links and learn about the bands, and listen to more of their material.

    1 – video link won’t play in the US.
    2 – Shania has put out consistently good, fun music over the years.
    3 – The Three Days Grace track was nice, but didn’t really stand out for me. Also, does the front man deliberately look like Garth Brooks’ alter ego?
    4 – The Simple Plan is a good toe tapping track, despite the message in the lyrics. Great example of what pop can be
    5 – And now I’m a Death From Above fan.

    Shania I think was my first Big introduction to the power of Canada! [First was Celine.] She has so many hits under her belt. She makes country music fun (more like country pop) and I like almost every single track on Up!

    By the way, I have a habit to check several posts at a time for all my sites instead of more timely visits. Also, just followed you on Twitter — I’m not too punctual even there.

      I’m not usually a country fan but she is a Canuck which fits the theme of the posts. And the album has memories from living in small town Saskatchewan and doing the social events They always had a heavy dose of country pop music.
