SCTV, a Canadian institution. The names involved are a who’s who of comedy in the 80’s and 90’s, and some are still going strong. Martin Short, John Candy (RIP), Catherine O’Hara, Rick Moranis, Eugene Levy, Harold Ramis, Joe Flaherty, Andrea Martin and Dave Thomas, all in the same room at the same time creating classics. The attached has two classics in it, a quick Great White North, and then John Candy as Babe Ruth in one of the funniest bits he did on the show. “I’ll stand on your head kid”.
Good stuff. God, those guys were young.
A couple of years ago in Toronto, we went to Second City improv. It was a great night – they were very funny.
Impressive pedigree. Every one of them ended up a star to some extent. And all Canucks of course.
