Wandering Wednesday – Back Home in Calgary

Question Of The Day

Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?

A Quick Synopsis of Our Recent Road Trip

We made it back from our spontaneous road trip last week.  We ended up calling it “The Follow The Sun Tour”.  We named it that as we literally were doing that.  We originally wanted to fly to Mexico, or the Caribbean, but couldn’t find any cheap trips due to spring break.  Our bad.  To try to compensate, we would wake up in the morning and look for the next place that was sunny and warm,  In retrospect, it all worked out pretty well.  When we were in cold and wet, we were traveling to warm and dry.  And to make it even better, the route actually made sense at the end of it all.  If you are keeping score, we went Calgary to Banff to Coeur D’Alene to Lewiston to Missoula to Helena to Great Falls to Calgary.  A perfect circle.  On the way we ran into excellent music, wonderfully beautiful roads and scenery, some mermaids, some snow, some great meals and, of course, some great refreshing beverages.  It will take a few days to gather my thoughts and process the pictures before I start relating the adventure, so look for a post on Coeur D’Alene next Wednesday.

      1. No. I’ve been to Montreal, Toronto, Ottowa and Quebec.
Would love to get out to British Columbia, but haven’t had the opportunity yet.

        1. The parts of Idaho and Montana we were in were pretty cool. Don’t forget the Alberta Rockies. Banff Jasper and lake Louise are great and the skiing is out of this world.
