A Beautiful Winter Day In Calgary

Had a beautiful walk today. Cool, crisp and clear.

I enjoy travel, sports, music and anything else that jumps up at me for the moment, which is why I blog. There will be lots of travel posts, pictures and our videos as well as a smattering of sports and humor. I enjoy promoting Canada and am unabashedly a proud Albertan

  1. That puts our little dusting of snow in London this morning to shame, it still caused havoc with the transport mind you. I have never seen snow like that, ours is always brown and slushy. There is a slim chance I may be in Vancouver in the next month or so, I may yet see some?

    1. Out here in the colonies, we just crack open a beer and hit the gas. You get through it faster. (poetic license). It buggers up traffic here as well, just not as bad as there. Not as many windy country roads

        1. Calgary is a bit different than other prairie cities. As we are only 30-40 miles from the mountains we get what is called here, chinooks. They are a warm wind off the Pacific Ocean that flow over the mountains. We can fro minus 10 to plus 10 in a matter of minutes and it stays for an hour to a week. We basically have spring 10 times a year. Crazy on washer fluid.
