Irish (kind of, one is Czech)folk rock duo The Swell Season recorded this gem back in 2009. Made my drive into work a bit easier the other day. “Low Rising” is a well constructed song that kind of predates a lot of material we are hearing now. Their self titled first album was released in 2006. This is from their 3rd album, “Strict Joy” released in 2009.
I enjoy travel, sports, music and anything else that jumps up at me for the moment, which is why I blog. There will be lots of travel posts, pictures and our videos as well as a smattering of sports and humor. I enjoy promoting Canada and am unabashedly a proud Albertan

They’re a good live act.
There’s something about a good song that transcends, even when everything else sounds similar.

You’ve seen then? Likely great live.
I can’t determine which I like better—the song, or the video. Both are great. Good pick John.
Both are pretty good, CBC2 strikes again. I love my drive to and from work. Just long enough to hear some great tunes.
My jam of the day was Big Chief Monk Boudreaux’s “Don’t Take My Flag Down.” You might dig it.
Wow. Just Youtubed them. Right up my alley. Will be looking them up a bit more.
