One thing to note – in rough seas, there is a much more dramatic orientation shift in the cabins of a catamaran as it slides up and down the waves when they’re coming from a non-bow point.

That’s the downside. Trading space for sailing comfort to some degree. Monohull handles the seas better in most situations.
