Great Moments in Boston Bruins History – Part 6

Part 6 in my series commemorating the Bruins victories in this year’s playoffs

I know I said I was bored of this, but, hey, we hammered the Flyers, kind of like the way Jay Miller destroys Dave Brown in this video. Now, bring on the Bolts.

Seve Ballesteros – We Lose A Great Golfer

Seve Ballesteros passed away today.  He had been battling brain cancer.  He was a former world #1 golfer.  He won over 90 tournaments on various tours around the world including 3 British Opens and 2 Masters.  He had retired from golf in 2007 after a prestigious 33 year professional career.  The video below shows a clip of an interview that culminated with a trick putt.

Great Moments in Boston Bruins History – Part 5

Part 5 in my series commemorating the Bruins victory over the Canadiens

Getting bored with this, but have to do a Lucic fight before I end it.  Fun while it lasted and will do more after we flip and flop the Flyers  Hope all you Hab fans enjoyed this, probably not though.  By the way, Ken Dryden is looking for work.  Unbelievable as it seems, someone actually beat him.

Great Moments in Boston Bruins History – Part 1

To commemorate Boston’s glorious victory over the hated Habs, I will be presenting a series of great moments in the history of hockey’s greatest team.

Number 1, Bobby Orr’s famous goal to win the Cup over St Louis.

Habs Suck, or Maybe They Don’t

Common sense dictates that the Boston Bruins are the finest hockey team ever in history, period. Common sense further dictates that the Montreal Canadiens are the slime sucking bottom feeders of the NHL and have been since they joined the league. To further back up this statistical certainty, lets take a look at the record. I have listed each and every playoff meeting in history and they show an obvious trend of Bruin dominance.

These bitter rivals have met 32 times and the Bruins have won almost all, 8 for sure. EIGHT, EIGHT, what is this a misprint, it can’t be true. We dominated them in the 70’s, beating that Dryden fellow handily on every occasion. Let’s see, no, that can’t be, they beat us 18 straight series and every series in the seventies.

Next thing you’ll tell me is Ken Dryden is a sitting Liberal MP. HE IS, no bloody way. No wonder I hate him so much. A Bruin killer and a Liberal. AAAARRGHHH!!! This is not good, maybe I should jump on the bandwagon and cheer for the Habs. Who is Layton cheering for. One bandwagon jumps on another?

And now we have a game 7, what a rivalry, go Bruins. The best time of year, an election and round 1 of Lord Stanley’s Cup.
