Time To Ditch Facebook – You Decide (This Is Nuts)

Facebook takes the Face part to a whole new level. And the Book part as well, now that I think of it. Don’t know about you, but thinking on their well-known reputation for respecting privacy, it might be time to ditch them. I still say they stock will be a buy at $4.00.
I enjoy travel, sports, music and anything else that jumps up at me for the moment, which is why I blog. There will be lots of travel posts, pictures and our videos as well as a smattering of sports and humor. I enjoy promoting Canada and am unabashedly a proud Albertan

I hate facebook. I already parted ways with them, but I’ll check the link.
Yeah, I read the article. I didn’t watch the video because my husband’s asleep, but the concept is so scary. Even though I deleted my account I’m sure they still have all the info too. Imagine if they got hacked.
Very impressive technology. I think Facebook owning it is a perfect example of “in the wrong hands”.
Glad I deleted my account a while ago, but I think I’ve left such an online footprint at this point that my anonymity is an illusion.
I hear you. I’m having problems cutting the ties, thinking the damage is done and can’t cut the losses. I will say that I had a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when I read this article. Wrong hands is an understatment
Thanks. Away again this weekend, the boonies of Northern Saskatchewan. Weyakwin to be exact. Beautiful country. Still be off and on for the next while.
Not yet, but working on it. I’ll be living the dream when Lori and I are having a glass of reasonable malbec on the deck of our 40 ft Hunter sailboat off the coast of Ila del Gaupo. lol
Ummm…NO THANKS. Would definitely be off FB at that point. I dislike FB more than I like it and I’m sort of in the boat with you, John, with some of my online friends and family, it’s the main way we stay in touch. The rest of the ‘friends’…can’t say that I would miss at all.

you will be amazed at the tech behind this. And very scary as well

Agree. I’d quit but I have to many friends and reglatives on there. Tried once but people actually got pissed at me.
Yeah, you have to be willing to give up friends and family too. Sacrifices always have to be made… 😉

And it’s good to see you again.

You’re living the dream, John. Have a blast!

It is a struggle. Maybe I’ll try again, but i doubt it will stick.
I don’t like facebook either. Mainly because it’s boring. For me. I don’t get invited to enough wild parties, probably.
Hah, neither do I. Still can’t make the break though.
