I took these pictures while the cruise ship we were on was departing Funchal in the Madeiras. No idea what ship it was, but it was clearly a replica of some significance. An amazing sight on the open Atlantic.

It was a fair distance away from us. Zoomed as tight as I could with an el cheapo pocket camera.
Oh..lol I thought It was a oretty good shot …didn’t factor in a whole lot of distance. .I was a little disturbed wondering about the teeny sailors of old.. it coulda got really weird so I am glad you added that..

They are great. Wish I could figure out what ship it is. Portuguese flag. Spanish markings.
Portugese with Spanish markings is probably a Columbus ship, I think.
He was an Italian. Sailing for Spain. So confusing.
Maybe it was a pirate?
