What I Learned Last Week

A very educational week, I learned lots and am really looking forward to sharing.  As usual, there are some potentially life saving tips for you.

For example, did you know that crocodiles can climb trees.

People not familiar with snow, should not play with snow.  800 pound snowball slams into a dormitory in Portland, Oregon.

A camel escaped in Los Angeles, terrorizing residents for 30 minutes.  Story here.

Have a great week, and remember, if you being chased by a camel, or a runaway snowball for that matter, don’t climb a tree.  A crocodile may be waiting for you.  The world is getting more dangerous every day.

I enjoy travel, sports, music and anything else that jumps up at me for the moment, which is why I blog. There will be lots of travel posts, pictures and our videos as well as a smattering of sports and humor. I enjoy promoting Canada and am unabashedly a proud Albertan

  1. Very interesting … thus, who would have thunk it? !!! There goes the idea of climbing to avoid them. Then again, the report did say some species, not all.

BTW – Congrats on the two Canadian wins. Tough games. I thought the US women let it get away from them by playing too protective. In the men’s game, your guys clearly outplayed us. But I was rooting for a goalie change to bring your buddy from Vancouver into the game.

      1. NBC was airing the prime games on their premium channel … grrrrr … so I went to a bar to watch the 3rd period along with a glass of Kentucky Bourbon Ale.

        1. You’re kidding. Our tv had nothing but free tv. They added 14 in demand channels and had 4 networks covering. Everything was live and then rerun all day. Watched the hockey live at work streaming off CBC.ca.

          1. I tried to catch it on the CBC, at it was blocked here. By the time someone recommended the BBC, it was too late. I’m just not a fan of what NBC is doing … but their human-interest stories are very good.
