Based on the fictional town of Dog River, Saskatchewan, the stories told are not quite the truth (based on my experiences living in small town Saskatchewan), but there is enough of a germ of the truth to make me smile when I watched this uniquely Canadian program. The Trailer Park Boys is an interesting cable show. The characters lurch back and forth from charming to, well, disgusting. Lots of innuendo, drugs, booze, law breaking and swearing, but, it is funny, and Canadian. The action takes place in a trailer park (naturally) in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
