RETIRED HUSBAND

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target.
Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.   Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women – she loves to browse.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target:

Dear Mrs. Phillips,

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behaviour and have been forced to ban both of you from the store.
Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Phillips, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:

1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people’s carts when they weren’t looking.

2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in House wares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women’s restroom.

4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, ‘Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away’. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don’t have a Code 3.

5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

6. August 14: Moved a ‘CAUTION – WET FLOOR’ sign to a carpeted area.

7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he’d invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, ‘Why can’t you people just leave me alone?’ EMTs were called.

9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ‘Mission Impossible’
theme.

12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his ‘Madonna look’ using different sizes of funnels.

13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled ‘PICK ME! PICK ME!’

14. October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed ‘OH NO! IT’S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!’

15. Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?

And last, but not least:

16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, and then yelled very loudly, ‘Hey! There’s no toilet paper in here.’ One of the clerks passed out.

Hello everyone, how in the heck are you.  Lots of stuff over the past few weeks which caused me to make a conscious choice to stop posting for a bit.  The highlights, a trip to Saskatoon, some planning, lots of shopping and some personal changes (all good).  The end is result is a lot of stuff to write about, and some hopeful plans for the future.

For the blog itself, I am going to try to lean more to the travel posts (the original intent), less on the music (2 or 3 times a week,  although it will still, and always will be, a passion), and will try to insert some humor from wherever I find it.

Oh, and before I forget, a big shout out to Magsx2 for solving my posting issue.  If you have a problem posting from your dashboard and use Firefox with the Adblock add-on, disable the Adblock for the WordPress page and all will be well.

I Know I’m Taking A Breeak BUT….

File this under, Wish I Had Thought Of That.  This video is HOT right now, likely the best wedding proposal ever.

The Cascade Creature

This is interesting.  A type of jellyfish caught on video.  Never seen anything like it.

It’s A Birthday Day For The Hobbler

Its Hobbler Day

I have just made Hobblers acquaintance, and I am glad I did. She kills me (in a good way, not a window licking way). Have a great day. I’m thinking you will have a blast.

All of a sudden, the time I used to have has evaporated into the Spring air.  Some of you may have noticed me missing from both posting and commenting.  This is a result of living in the world’s greatest country, Canada, where we live for summer, the best 4 months of the year.   I will be making some adjustments to my post schedule and consolidating my posting here on Is It Possible To See It All.  If you follow The Real Canadian Music Blog, I will be re-blogging any music posts to that site.  My post schedule will be discarded for the summer and I hope to resume it in the fall. In the meantime, have a great summer.

Best Busker Ever??

I’m thinking Dylan wasn’t quit expecting this.

Monday Blues

Due to unforeseen personal matter, I will be posting tomorrow.

2011 in review

This was cool.  I started my blog in April of 2011, and, I am having a blast.  Starting out, I’m thinking who in the “h e double hockey sticks” is going to read this, and how do you move it forward from there.  Truth be told, it was a bit frightening.  Now, 8 months later, the fear has disappeared and I have found a lot of good things to keep me entertained, and a bunch of really great people in what is actually a thriving community.  Twitter is fun, but 140 characters, not so much.  Facebook, Google+, great way to keep up with friends, but blogging, way more innovative, way more interesting,  and much more creative.  Enough blathering, thanks to all who read this, and I look forward to a terrific 2012, filled with humour, music, travel and whatever else comes our way.  We toast you all.

Have A Great Year!!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 9,100 times in 2011. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
